Let Me Go On To Glory

''Let Me Go On To Glory''

Words and Music By Daryl Stout

Dedicated to the memory of my grandmother, Rose B. Rentja, who went on to glory June 11, 1993, after a long battle with lung cancer.

1. Let me go on to glory...to Heaven is where I'll be.
Let me go on to glory...where my Saviour Jesus I will see.
Finally to be free from this life of sin and strife, and its cares and troubles exceedingly.
So, let me go on to glory, praising Him for eternity.

2. All of my lifetime here on Earth was wracked with both pain and sin.
Terrible things everywhere, and no peace within.
But long ago, on a Tree, Jesus died for you and me.
And rose again in victory, and brought Salvation, full and free.

3. The day I met my Blessed Saviour, I'll cherish forevermore.
He lifted the burden of guilt and sin, so like an eagle, I could soar.
With my Precious Jesus, who loved me so, going with me through my days.
Both joy and despair, He was always there, and Him I'll forever praise.

4. Even though I failed Him so many times, He was always there.
Quenching His Spirit as I did...and yet, He still cared.
For He looked upon my faults, and saw my needs...unbounded love, it would be.
For I was His precious child...and He included me.

5. A full life lived, suffering now, awaiting lifes final breath.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is His Saints deaths.
He welcomes them home to their mansion He has made just for them in Heaven above.
Reserved for them when they accepted His Great Sacrifice of Love.

6. So, let me go on to glory...to Heaven is where I'll be.
Let me go on to glory...where my Saviour Jesus I will see.
Finally to be free from this life of sin and strife, and its cares and troubles exceedingly.
So, let me go on to glory, praising Him for eternity.
