The Lord Won't Supply Your Wants, But He'll Supply Your Needs

The Lord Won't Supply Your Wants, But He'll Supply Your Needs

Based on Philippians 4:19

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
With your trust and faith in Him, small as a mustard seed.
For He knows your needs each day, before you even ask.
For Him, nothing's impossible, there with any task.

2) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
He knows the fact, that every day, everyone must feed,
On food, physical, spiritual, needed to sustain.
Without both of these in life, one there, cannot gain.

3) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
No matter what your background, status, or even your creed.
While on Earth, He was like us, but without any sin.
Preached ''Heaven, no one can see; unless they're born again''.

4) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
Acknowledge Him, and He will show, how you should proceed.
For His Ways are not our ways, but they are always right.
He'll guide you through the light of day, and the dark of night.

5) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
With God's Redemptive Plan in place; on Calvary, He did bleed.
Without shedding of Blood there, no remission done.
Then, He arose on The Third Day, the Victory, was won.

6) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
Our righteousness as filthy rags, in thought, word, and deed.
God's Standard is Perfection, there; none on Earth can pay.
Except for Christ, The King Of Kings, The Truth, The Life, The Way.

7) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
Christ came to die for all mankind, to meet our greatest need;
Our sins as a barrier, between us and The Lord.
For His Word is sharper than any two edged sword.

8) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
True Christians are the only Bibles, that some will ever read.
Are they going through the motions, or are they sincere??
For God looks upon the heart, where intentions, clear.

9) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
For all souls on Judgment Day, none for them, will plead.
You'll answer for all your deeds, motives, words, and thoughts.
No question of your guilt therein; you'll get what you have wrought.

10) The Lord won't supply your wants, but He'll supply your needs.
Seek His Kingdom, Righteousness, first in every deed.
If you abide in Him, and His Words abide in you;
Whatever you ask in His Name, will be done to you.
