The One Thing God Requires

''The One Thing God Requires''

Based on John 6:28-29

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The one thing God requires, for all mankind to
Enter Heaven's Kingdom at their death.
Believe on Jesus Christ, His Son, who He has sent,
Receive Him now, before your lifes last breath.

2) The one thing God requires, in simple childlike faith,
Come to Christ in all humility.
Admit that you're a sinner, your soul you cannot save,
Bow before Him now, on bended knee.

3) The one thing God requires, your life, God knows it all;
Your every deed and motive, word, and thought.
And, one day, dear friend, before Him, you will stand.
In judgment, receive what your life has wrought.

4) The one thing God requires, is not good works in life.
Our righteous deeds as cloths of menstrual blood.
Our souls so tainted by, the dreadful curse of sin,
As dirty as farm pigs there in the mud.

5) The one thing God requires, The Lord, you can not fool,
By the life you live, and words you say.
For if you refuse, to repent of sin,
You'll regret that choice on Judgment Day.

6) The one thing God requires, will you have it there,
When you're before Jesus Christ The Lord?
Did you repent of sin, believe on God's Own Son??
His words are sharper than a two edged sword.

7) The one thing God requires, for those who repent,
And ask Jesus Christ, their soul to save.
Serving Him on Earth, Heaven at their death,
Just like Christ, victorious o'er the grave.

8) The one thing God requires, if you're empty handed,
Ignoring God's Gift, the choice you did make.
Torment yours forever, and continous pain,
There in that eternal, Fiery Lake.
