The Sabbath Is Not Just Another Day

''The Sabbath Is Not Just Another Day''

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The Sabbath is not just another day,
For mankind to work there in the week.
But, the Truth, in what God's Word does say,
''A day of rest'', the Words The Lord did speak.

2) The Sabbath is not just another day,
But mankind considers it one there.
A day of work, of leisure, or of play.
Toward the things of God, they do not care.

3) The Sabbath is not just another day,
For in six days, Creation, was done.
Consecrated, was the seventh day,
Creation perfect, by Christ, God's Own Son.

4) The Sabbath is not just another day,
From His Work, The Lord, He was not tired.
''All was Good'', The Lord God, there, did say.
Complete and perfect, nothing more required.

5) The Sabbath is not just another day,
But for Bible Study, worship, praise.
Humbly serving God in every way.
To The Lord, repentant cries, there raise.

6) The Sabbath is not just another day,
For our good, the Sabbath, was prepared.
In The Ten Commandments, God did say,
Remember it, and keep it holy, there.

7) The Sabbath is not just another day,
For every day, it is a gift from God.
Serving God in each and every way,
All should, each day, there give The Lord, the nod.

8) The Sabbath is not just another day,
But for all, a life limit, is set.
Christ paid the debt of sin we could not pay.
Ignoring Christ, it is not a safe bet.

9) The Sabbath is not just another day,
Repent of sin, too risky there, to wait.
Accept Christ, for your death might come today.
Reject Christ, The Lake Of Fire, your fate.
