Southwest Airlines was formed in the early 1970's, and since then, it has become famous for profitability, low fares, and exceptional service. I normally don't like to fly, but when I have to fly, I choose to fly Southwest, as this poem notes.

2) With Dallas, Houston, Austin too; the Triangle Of LUV.
The visions of the destinations, in the skies above.
Customer Service, that's premier, it does pass the test.
When I have to fly somewhere, I choose to fly Southwest.
3) Starts with reservation agents, with you, your trip, they plan.
To destinations far and wide, all across the land.
Helpful and informative, on travel waves, that crest.
When I have to fly somewhere, I choose to fly Southwest.
4) The agents at the ticket counter, at the airport place.
Get you and luggage checked in there, with a smiling face.
They remove your travel worries, so your mind, can rest.

5) Then those at departure gate, announcing of the flights.
They may start before sunrise, or fly into the night.
Handling the many travelers, though working may be stressed.
When I have to fly somewhere, I choose to fly Southwest.
6) Down the jetway, then on board, as one takes their seat.
Explaining the flight safety, rules; thorough and complete.
Professional, yet humourous at times, I must confess.
When I have to fly somewhere, I choose to fly Southwest.
7) The whole flight crew is wanting to, get all safe and sound.
To their final destination, wherever they are bound.
To travel with folks such as these, a traveler is blessed.

8) Then, at your destination, where the plane does land.
Quickly to arrival gate, giving all a hand.
Whether single, families, or disabled ones, addressed.

9) And, let's not forget the ones who work behind the scenes.
To ensure your trip is smooth, things are right and clean.
Though glitches sometimes do occur, when traveling, one is pressed.

10) When the glitches do occur, the trip seems like a pain.
They'll work to make things right for you, as they will explain.
Delays through weather, mechanical, or things you'd never guess.

11) Patience is a virtue there, and one must understand.
All that Southwest deals with daily, all across the land.
The world is full of travelers, as full as an egg nest.

12) Though some glitches may occur, the benefits abound.
First two checked bags, they fly free, trip above the ground.
Rapid Rewards, Frequent Fliers, this one is the best.

13) And, if your flight is oversold, and you get bumped, there.
A voucher for a future trip, is for you, prepared.
Compared to other carriers, their low fares are the best.

14) Of everything that Southwest does, much more I could say.
Luving employees, customers, each and every day.
No question on who I will call, they truly are the best.
