The Rainbow Was God's Covenant, With Noah From The Ark

''The Rainbow Was God's Covenant, With Noah From The Ark''

Based on Genesis 9:12-16

Written By Daryl Stout

1) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
From the global flood on Earth, with all its sin, so dark.
Forty days and forty nights, the flooding deluge fell.
And, all who were not in the Ark; drowned, and went to Hell.

2) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
Plus his family, and animals, when they all disembarked.
Before the flood, The Lord was grieved; evil all Earth, filled.
Noah found grace in God's Eyes...and was told the Ark to build.

3) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
While the Ark of safety built, 120 years so stark.
Mankind mocked and laughed at him, as it had never rained.
Of his preaching of the flood, all mankind complained.

4) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The animals there, two by two, into the craft, embarked.
Noah's wife, their sons, and wives, joined him aboard therein.
Then The Lord, the door would close, and shut all of them in.

5) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
Instead of sun at daybreak there, the skies were all so dark.
Lightning, thunder, flooding rain, tidal waves; the fate.
Of those who refused the Ark, they now know it's too late.

6) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
They plead and bang there on the door, with their cries, so stark.
''We're sorry for our sins'', but God's Judgment has arrived.
As only those within the Ark, the ones who would survive.

7) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The massive craft floated there, with God's Protective Mark.
So that all on board therein, all life on Earth, at that.
After forty days, the Ark, was on Mount Ararat.

8) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
As all those left the craft, new life on Earth, would spark.
Noah built an altar there, to God, he sacrificed.
An offering of thanksgiving; to God, it smelled so nice.

9) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The Earth there would not be destroyed, by flooding waters mark.
Though seasons would come and go, and rain and snow occurred.
Destruction by water of the Earth, forever was deferred.

10) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The next time Earth destroyed, from sin again so dark.
Where mankind preferred the sin, and evil desires.
God will destroy the current Earth, in blazing Divine Fire.

11) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The contrast now, that exists; good and bad, so stark.
The days of Noah and of Lot, are back on Earth today.
For most do reject The Lord, The Truth, The Life, The Way.

12) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The meaning now corrupted, by sinful forces, dark.
Sadly, most will not do, the one thing God requires.
Refusing Christ, He casts them to, Eternal Lake Of Fire.

13) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
As lightning flashes from the skies, with its thunder bark.
Spurning warnings of God's Wrath, to come to Earth real soon.
Like those who refused the Ark, these face certain doom.

14) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
And, with all the covenants, that God with man, embarked.
None of these will ever break; and God, to that, will see.
For He is Truth forevermore, now and eternally.

15) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
The Rapture Day is coming soon, upon this world, so dark.
And, like with safety, of the Ark; The Rapture will provide;
Protection to all who'd repent, and be on The Lord's Side.

16) The rainbow was God's Covenant, with Noah from the Ark.
Will you, friend, refuse The Lord; and stay in sin, so dark??
Or will you repent of sin, and come into The Light.
Of life committed there to Christ; and Eternity, so bright.
