The Cross Is Empty

''The Cross Is Empty''

Written By Daryl Stout

The Cross is empty, and so is the tomb
Of Christ, Born from a Virgin's Womb.

He left Heaven's Glory, and came to Earth
God with us, in flesh, a Precious Birth.

To seek and to save, humanity lost,
Although He knew, His Life, it would cost.

Mary, his mother, with God had found favor.
She knew she needed Christ as her Saviour.

Sins awful curse, from our first breath,
It and its nature remain until death.

Christ came to die on a Cross of Wood,
Yet made the hill on which It stood.

His Death and Resurrection both proved
God's Free Love Gift, to all it behooves.

To accept Christ as your Saviour and Lord,
His Word powerful as a two edged sword.

But, God will not force your acceptance of Him,
And, His Sons Love Gift, to pay for your sin.

For if you decide, to His Gift refuse,
Eternal Judgment will be what you choose.

No other name, but Christ Jesus alone,
Was given by God, for your sins to atone.

Either eternal gladness, or suffering and doom...
The Cross is empty, and so is the tomb.
