For You Would Not Allow It

''For You Would Not Allow It''

Written By Daryl Stout

Don't let this poem be yours to do,
Eternal Damnation script.
Death instead of Life for you,
For you would not allow it.

The Lord knew you before your birth,
Before you'd stand or sit.
He died to pay your sins on Earth,
But, you would not allow it.

In Love and Care, He stretched His Hand,
Before your first word writ.
While you sinned across the land,
But you would not allow it.

He left the Glory of Heaven Above,
In His Face, man spit.
Died in Your Place, Endless Love,
But you would not allow it.

He Rose Again, Victorious
The Gravestone, He did split.
But, you spurned Him, there glorious,
For you would not allow it.

It's appointed all men once to die.
Life takes the fatal hit.
Rejected Christ's love, by and by,
For you would not allow it.

The Judgment Of The Great White Throne,
Damnation from the Pit.
Refused Christ, the choice, all your own,
For you would not allow it.

Now, all your sins, both big and small,
Shown as a bright bulb lit,
Ignoring Christ's own loving call,
For you would not allow it.

Without excuse, you stand condemned,
Your guilt as a snake bit.
Christ, Your Judge, and not your Friend,
For you would not allow it.

Eternally into the Lake Of Fire
With others cast into it.
No more bliss...but doom so dire,
For you would not allow it.

You can avoid what's said here,
With all the doom, and grit.
If Christ you give repentant ear,
If you will just allow it.

Admit that you're a sinner, friend.
The Blood shed from Hands slit.
Accept Christ, serve Him until the end,
If you will just allow it.

While Earthly life, with each breath.
Is full of strife, to wit.
Eternal Glory, upon your death,
If you will just allow it.
