''I'm Thankful God Did Not Give Me What I So Deserve''

Written By Daryl Stout

1) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
That in my sinful, rebellious state, with all my gall and nerve.
Oh, Let The Lord Of Hosts Be True, and every man a liar.
His Free Love Gift, saved my soul, from The Lake Of Fire.

2) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
For He's shown in His Creation, for all to observe.
His Creation, and His Rules; He's Soverign over all.
He won't turn a soul away, responding to His Call.

3) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
For with what Christ did for me, judgment, away, is swerved.
For there on that Rugged Cross, Christ took my sin and shame.
Salvation a free gift to all, who call on Jesus' Name.

4) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
The least that I can do for Him, is to repent, and serve.
For while still His Enemy, on The Cross, He died.
God's Grace can't be earned or bought; no matter what is tried.

5) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
For He knows me so much there, more than what's observed.
All my motives, words, and deeds, thoughts that are conceived.
Whether my words are just lies, or to be believed.

6) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
He could've been unmerciful, for sin I had served.
If I got what I deserved, today I'd be in Hell.
But, Christ came to save my soul, from Satan's evil spell.

7) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
When His Spirit pricked my heart, it truly struck a nerve.
The ground is Equal At The Cross; I came with contrite heart.
Repenting of my sin; The Lord gave me a brand new start.

8) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
God's Love shown there on The Cross, for all to observe.
Eagerly or there compelled; before Christ, all will bow.
Repent of sin, accept The Lord; come to Jesus now.

9) I'm thankful God did not give me, what I so deserve.
For God grades upon The Cross, and not upon the curve.
Your eternal destiny, depends upon your choice.
Do you accept?? Or there, reject?? His Precious, Loving Voice.
