Sunday Saint, But The Rest Ain't; For Most Folks Today

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
That is how they live their lives, each and every day.
A few hours on Sunday there, just done to impress.
It looks like that all is well, but their life's a mess.

2) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Just like Pharisees of old, so pious when they pray.
Fooling others by their life, they can't fool The Lord.
For His Word is sharper than any two edged sword.

3) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Hypocrisy of many lives, always on display.
Like whitewashed tombs from the outside, but full of dead mans bones.
They sow the wild oats in life, the whirlwind is blown.

4) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
From full counsel of The Lord, most will turn away.
Only wanting sermons that, tickle all their ears.
Not words convicting of their sin; those are their greatest fears.

5) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
What a change when church is done, it's just another day.
No change to their way of life; Christ's not in their heart.
This type of Christianity, no one wants the part.

6) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Wide the gate there to destruction, most will choose that way.
Instead of straight and narrow way, eternal life there leads.
The Precious Blood of Jesus, there; is what the sinner pleads.

7) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Believing remnant, serving Christ; The Truth, The Life, The Way.
Not going through the motions there; for Christ, they want to please.
One day before Christ, all will bow, there upon their knees.

8) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
It's appointed all to die, and then Judgment Day.
Either at the Bema Seat, or at the Great White Throne.
You're either saved, or you are lost; the choice is yours alone.

9) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Countless unbelieving souls, will be turned away.
These would not believe on Christ; the one thing God required.
So, they'll spend eternity, there in The Lake Of Fire.

10) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
Your life you will answer for, before The Lord one day.
The wheat survives, but the tares, will in the fire burn.
Repent of sin, come to Christ, from your evil, turn.

11) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
If you die without The Lord, then it's too late to pray.
Those in Hell want to repent; they waited far too long.
They listened to the Devil's lies; found their choice was wrong.

12) Sunday Saint, but the rest ain't; for most folks today.
The ground is equal at The Cross; Heaven's Only Way.
Christ wants to be your Saviour, Lord, in everything you do.
Where you spend eternity, is totally up to you.
