Life As It Was Meant To Be, After Christ's Return

Life As It Was Meant To Be, After Christ's Return

Written By Daryl Stout

1) Originally in Eden's place, life it was so fine.
Adam and his helpmate Eve, with The Lord, Divine.
No pain, sickness, or disease, joy at every turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

2) God told them that ''Of every tree, you may freely, dine''.
''But, you must avoid the tree, that's beyond the line''.
Sadly, a hard lesson there, both of them would learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

3) Satan there indwelt a snake, and started his deceit.
First with Eve, then Adam, too...rebellion complete.
Sin now upon planet Earth, things took a horrid turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

4) Satan there, with all his lies, deception he did weave.
To cover their nudity, they both used fig leaves.
But that was not good enough, as they would soon learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

5) Adam and Eve both in judgment, there before God's Son.
Adam blamed God; Christ asked Eve ''What have you, there done??''.
The serpent beguiled me, said ''like God, I could turn''.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

6) The Lord cursed creation, and...the serpent there, as well.
It seemed that Satan had set all for eternity in Hell.
As he wanted all mankind, there with him, to burn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

7) God took off their fig leaves there, clothed them with lamb skins.
It required blood shed there, to purge them from their sin.
Evicted now from paradise, they would not return.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

8) Cain, the firstborn, killed his brother, Abel, in a rage.
Yet, The Lord, He saw the deed, there on the world's stage.
Insolent before The Lord, God's Judgment, it was stern.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

9) Abel's blood, it cried for justice, with a deafening sound.
As it flowed there from his corpse, there upon the ground.
Wickedness now filled the Earth, at each and every turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

10) Most sinned, doing what they thought was right in their own eyes.
But, with this wickedness, The Lord was not surprised.
At the wicked way mankind's behavior, had there, turned.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

11) All the sin, it truly grieved, The Lord God at His Heart.
He would destroy the Earth, mankind; and then have new start.
But, for Noah, in God's Eyes, grace was found, and earned.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

12) God commanded Noah there, to build a huge Ark.
From worldwide flood there, coming soon; on a world, so dark.
The Lord gave instructions there, that Noah would learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

13) For one hundred twenty years, Noah there did preach.
While the Ark was being built, mankind he tried to reach.
But outside his family, the warnings, were there, spurned.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

14) Then animals would come aboard, two there of each kind.
To repopulate the Earth, after flood, they'd find.
When the door of the Ark closed, point of no return.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

15) It was dry for seven days, then the flood came down.
Everyone outside the Ark, would in the waters, drown.
Too high the cost of their sin debt; too late, all these would learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

16) For forty days and nights therein, floodwaters did prevail.
On its journey, Noah's Ark, above the carnage, sailed.
Dry and safe inside the Ark, there from stem to stern.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

17) Then, there on Mount Ararat, the Ark would come to rest.
All inside would disembark, set for new life quest.
But, mankind's sin nature would, quickly there, return.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

18) Then, God made a covenant, with Noah from the sky.
A rainbow now set in the clouds, as the Earth would dry.
A flood would not destroy the Earth, on a second turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

19) Soon after, God called Abram to, leave his land and home.
And by faith, to go to land, that he would, there be shown.
The start of the Jewish race, The Lord's Ways, they'd learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

20) Abram and his wife, Sarai, were getting aged in years.
Not being able to concieve, it was their worst fears.
Deciding not to wait on God, hard lesson, they would learn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

21) So, Abram slept with Hagar there, she was Sarai's handmaid.

And, the lives for both of them, took unexpected turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

22) Their names changed to Abraham, and Sarah, as his wife.
The Lord said she would bear Isaac, the promised one, in life.

Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

24) Then, The Lord put Abraham, through love's greatest test.
To sacrifice his son Isaac; but he would be blessed.
The Lord would provide a ram, in Isaac's place, there turned.

26) Only Lot and his two daughters, escaped inferno there.
His wife, a pillar of salt, not wheat, but a tare.
Then afterwards, in a cave, things took a nasty turn.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

27) Lot's two daughters got him drunk, had incestuous sex.
He never knew it had been done; truly was perplexed.
The truth of what his daughters did, he may have never learned.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

30) Potiphar, his wife, and Joseph's brothers, Egyptians, all in need.

32) Pharoah's daughter, rescued Moses, from the bulrush site.
At burning bush, God met Moses, and showed him the light.
So with The Lord's Command, Moses, to Pharoah, would return.
Life as it was meant to be, after Christ's return.

33) When Moses told Pharoah God said ''Let My People Go''.
